The Nutcracker and Christmas Eve

Here's a picture of us the day before Christmas Eve when Daddy took Joseph to the Nutcracker and they had a marvelous time. Our good friend plays in the symphony and because they had front row seats they could wave to her, and see her play. An unexpected treat was when the scary mice came out to the audience and one patted Bill on the head and the other sat on Joseph's lap and wiggled his tail back and forth. So fun! Here we are giving thanks at the creche. The kids stayed and watched and took it in.
Christmas Eve was a beautiful evening. We were privileged to attend a lovely mass at 6:30 with an amazing choir, and the Church was so very beautiful. It was just so good to take it in. The children were well behaved, everyone was well, and it was a wonderful evening. Here are some pictures of the incredible creche too. There were tremendous details, like a flowing fountain, and real cactus, which Joseph was happy to point out. It was the kind of evening you just don't want to end. The kids were so tired they went right to sleep, and stayed there, something which surprised us. We just enjoyed it all and gave thanks for our many blessings.
