Merry Christmas!!

What a wonderful Christmas we are having this year! The children were elated to wake up and find Santa had left them surprises. This year the toddlers really are understanding more and loving it. Joseph got lots of spy gear (goggles, spy sleeve, listening devices) and a stocking with little treasures like metal handcuffs, and magic cards. He is just beside himself. Johnny and Leesie found a little people zoo train and yard with sound effects set up, and have been playing with it all day long. Johnny also got a dump truck with sound effects and Leesie a little tea set and dolly. We didn't need to open a thing after this. Somehow we managed to go to the Christmas room (office where we hid the tree from two toddlers) and open lots of presents. John and Leesie are loving ripping open gifts with no help required. Joseph keeps saying, "I just love Christmas!" Leesie was saying "Christmas treats, Jesus birthday." Johnny says, "Look, choo choo, treats, presents!" We are overwhelmed with the thoughtfulness of our family, and feel more joy and relaxation than I can remember in any Christmas. Mommy's best gift was having Bill off all week, and seeing him start to be rested. It has been too few breaks for too long. We are so thankful to slow down, and just all be together. The only thing that would make it better is to be with more family. We sure miss you guys.
