Bathtime with a newborn, is so warm, soft and sweet. Even when you forget you gave away your baby bathtub, and decide to use a bowl like your Grandma probably did. Even when you realize after hundreds of baths with your kids you forgot how small, and fragile, and dependent they were, we all were to begin with.
The dear delicate tiny nails and toes, and hiccups and shudders the little wrinkled then grimacing and soon to be cooing face. This little one who we dipped in the warm water and bubbles is more special and fun, more dear than words can say. So we just watch and love, and be with her, in this moment. It goes too fast.
