As we prepare for this little one's arrival we realize how much we are going to miss the wonderful little kicks, the joy of watching and feeling a little one with stretches, hiccups, and wiggles. Now that we are close it is something easy to share with the children.
This little one will be a night owl, definitely starting to wiggle whenever Mommy lays down to sleep. This person also really loves hearing big brother play piano, even in lessons there are kicks the whole time. Joseph is excited to play for the baby. Johnny and Annelise start and end each day with tummy kisses, and hellos to baby. They love seeing how BIG the tummy will grow, and hoping and waiting for the little one to arrive.
They also love putting a little stuffed animal or baby under their shirt, and announcing, "It's delivery time" and returning to the room with a little baby or elephant. So sweet, so dear are these moments, and special to have two young people at once 'delivering' together. Annelise has already told Johnny she will grow up and have lots of babies, and he can grow up and be a Dad. He isn't sure yet that he won't deliver a few babies himself.
