The Dino Pool

How do you cool off when the heat index is about 100 for cheap? (And your neighbors have a large in-ground pool which you now understand why they have invested in.) Well we went for the clearance dino pool from the supermarket for the toddlers and found that even the big guy is quite happy to lay in it (as well as his friends if it's hot enough). The boys splashed and played (the tail squirts water) while sister slept and and then Johnny 'burrito boy' snuggled in the sun like a cat. It was the stuff you want to do when you're all grown up, but somehow is just more awkward and unacceptable. I must admit we live vicariously through our children, or re-live moments like these. A little pool and a lot of imagination is a great thing. We have found a few times each summer Mom and Dad will make time to go down the slip and slide when we think the neighbors aren't looking. After all, the kids need a little direction and a good example, and last time I checked it didn't have a weight limit on it.
