Bill's Recovered!
I'm sorry for the late post for those who might be checking. Last Saturday Bill really started feeling better and Sunday he declared he was well! No doubt a week of sleeping 14+ hours a day helped his body. His stomach feels better than it has in over 2 months also. He went back to work full swing and he's been able to put in those long days and still come home with a smile. He's been trying to balance life to stay healthy, and the toughest thing is rest. Our goal we call the Golden Triangle: Sleep--Prayer---Exercise---. At this stage in life, it's hard to get in all three in one day or sometimes one week. So we fit them in as best we can. We have radically changed how we eat, so that means a ton more work for Mom shopping and cooking "natural" foods, until I get this down. I try to remind myself it's worth it. So far the biggest victory is I have ALL the kids eating fresh spinach salad and loving it! The key was good fruit or dressing added, and cutting it up so they don't choke. Leesie calls it "dress up". She cracked us up saying "Can I have some more dress up on my salad?" Johnny calls spinach "Ellis" for lettuce. That made us laugh because our neighbor's toddler is named Ellis. So Johnny was asking for "Dress up on my ellis" at dinner. They are fun.
We had a family party for Joseph's 8th birthday on Sunday (pictures soon) and we're getting ready for a baseball party at our home (which means a very busy Mom) this weekend for Joseph. We're also doing piano, soccer, 4th grade and overall catching up on errands in between. Today we're going to Spirit of America, at Nationwide Arena. It should be very fun! It's so much better so be busy and healthy and back to normal life. Mommy's back is slowly healing after being rear-ended, thanks to a visit with an amazing P.T. and a good gentle stretching program. (Gentle is the key, I needed to be reminded more isn't better.) We aren't taking any of it for granted. We have grateful hearts that we're able to have life return to normal. Dei gratias.
