The Spring weather, warmer and windy, brought us outside to fly kites in the afternoon. Johnny and Leesie got their first chance ever to fly one (Batman and a Ladybug) and Joseph got to fly a more advanced and tricky one than the beginner one he has used in the past. It was a first for all of them, and Joseph had a friend to help share the fun in launching his Helicopter. Johnny and Leesie must have run over an hour all around the yard (3/4 an acre and the field across the street). Joseph's kite took longer to prepare due to tangles, but once he got it up it was quite impressive. He was so busy keeping it in the air and untangled he never noticed the boys yelling from the passing school bus, "Nice kite? So cool!" It's fun that something so simple could be so much fun.
