Annelise turns two!

We can't believe it's been two whole years since the birth of our beloved daughter! We had a small family party with Auntie Lora visiting from Chicago. She enjoyed her balloons, her puppy cake, and being sung to (we couldn't resist singing multiple times throughout the day). She loves her tricycle, she and Johnny can now chase each other instead of taking turns sharing. She has a new dolly from Grandma Peggy and Grandpa John, and wonderful books from Hawaii from Grandma Pat and Grandpapa. It's amazing how even when we try to keep things simple, they grow a bit. She has a new baby pack and play, and swing, for her dolly and loves taking care of her. Johnny cracked us all up by placing her dolly in the new pack and play and saying firmly, "No, no, naughty." Yes that's what happens to him when he is naughty, he gets a "moment". Annelise is speaking little sentences like, "What about that?" "I don't want this one" and "Johnny fussy, Johnny what's the matter" and "Let's go to park" "Leesie's birthday, sing for Leesie!" She has a wonderful way of requesting sprinkles, sparkles, stickers, and gloss (lip balm), really anything girly and she has fun with it. We treasure her feminine presence, her delightful inquisitiveness, and her emerging maternal playfulness. How very thankful we are for her.
