We love celebrating Easter. Alleluia, He has risen! Everything in life is more beautiful when you know He has conquered death and opened heaven for us. The kids know Easter, along with Christmas is about much more than gifts or yummy food. But yummy food and fun is part of our traditions too. We prepare on a journey, of giving things up, giving to others, praying and thinking about who is the source of our faith, and all that was done for us. When Easter arrives, the treats and the fun are enjoyed and the meaning and the reason for celebrating are real and lasting and deeper than chocolate. But chocolate and joy sometimes go together. We enjoyed this year having extra friends and family over to help us celebrate, and extra baskets to put out too.

Egg hunts after going to Church and breakfast with family are a fun event for the kids and the adults. This year there was a lot of clever hiding places and a long hunt for the kids indoors. We found all the eggs, unlike last year -where the one egg was missing for several months. Luckily it was found carefully in the end and made a discreet exit from the house.

| Mr Johnny, the hunting award goes to you! You are amazing! |
Getting to be with family and relax this weekend was a gift too!
We got to share Easter with our special friend and newly graduating medical student. When the kids found out it was her first time coloring eggs, the were even more excited for her to help. It was her first time watching an egg hunt too. She knows the joy of Easter and what a gift her faith and friendship has been to our family this year! It was a pleasure having her here to help us celebrate.
