We love the Lord and our dear children so much! We strive to give them a childhood filled with His love and grace.

Welcome to the sheepfold, Elena

We baptized Elena on February 11 in a quiet, simple but beautiful Baptism. She was joyful and happy, ready to dive into the font like she does the bath. It was a joy to claim her for God and watch the water and grace pour down on her. One day she will be old enough to proclaim her faith herself, but for today we do it for her. Today she holds a beautiful white soul like her little garment and this mustard seed of faith will grow just as she does. Father B. was a gift explaining to our children how the early Christians did this as a household and how the older catechumens prepared for three years before they were ready. The kids were old enough to understand and celebrate with us. We had longed to do this for so long the past few months so having it finally come together was just beautiful. It was a joy to get to have it on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, where we visited on our honeymoon, a place that means so much to us and to the Godparents. We are thankful for grace, for life her and more importantly the life to come. We pray she learns in these early years how very precious she is, and how loved she is by the Shepherd who watches over her.

Elena was diving after the light as he's saying "receive the light of Christ".

Holding her with her little squeals of joy is a delight.
